Firestorm 2007
Well if you live outside of San Diego you have probably seen news reports that say that all of San Diego is burning. This is partially true because they have evacuated over 500,000 people from their homes. There are several fires that are out of control throughout San Diego County. We voluntarily evacuated yesterday morning when the sheriff came through our neighborhood and announced that we should leave due to the smoke and air quality. We are with our friends in Temecula (special thank you to Denise for taken us in as refugees). We spent the night here last night and our neighborhood is being threatened, however it seems that they have been able to keep the fire at bay. This morning (10/24) it looks like we will probably be spending a couple more days here. The schools have been closed for the week. So overall we are safe and just waiting until we get the word that we can move back in.
