Mateo, Marie and I have really enjoyed the blog. We love sharing this exciting time with everyone and hope everyone has enjoyed seeing the pictures. One of the times that I enjoy most with Mateo is when he is awake and examining the world. Sometimes he will just hang out and look around. His eyes will be open and he will look around at nothing in particular. Yesterday he hung out with me in my lap while I worked on the blog. He rarely does this at this point and is more likely to sleep or eat. This weekend we have family visiting and Mateo has enjoyed hanging out with his cousins Ashley and Michael. He also got to meet his Tia Leanette and her boyfriend Zack for the first time (Great upset with Stanford and USC. Go Stanford!) We took Mateo out to dinner at Oggi's last night. He was extremely well behaved, he slept the whole time. However that meant that Marie and I suffered a very tough night since Mateo decided he had slept enough. So Marie and I have learned our lesson and Mateo is doing a good job of training us.

Well, it sure sounds like you all are getting along just fine. For every good (and enjoyable) nap, there will a price paid :-) No, really, sometimes they take a long nap and then sleep all night also (especially when they are growing.) So, thanks for keeping us all up to date...I love catching something new. Congrats on the Stanford/USC game...does this mean you actually watched football???
