3 Weeks

Mateo celebrated his 3 week old birthday by going to Outback. We went with one of friends and their kids. It was a very successful dinner and Marie was happy to see that we can still go out to eat once and awhile. Marie has been feeling a little confined since she has been at home the whole time, but we make an effort to get out of the house at least once a day. Today (10/22) has been an odd day. We woke up to calls from our work stating that school was closed today due to fires. If you see the news, San Diego has several large fires and people are being evacuated. Fortunately, we are in a safe area at this point, however there are fires in the north county area. Mateo has been getting over his jet lag and is now sleeping on a fairly consistent basis. He gets up for feedings (Leanette has compared this term to animals at the Wild Animal Park being fed) at 10:00pm, 2:00am, 4:00am and 6:00am. So we have been getting decent sleep the last few days and hopefully he continues on this path. We currently have Marie's mother and step-father visiting for the week.
