We celebrated Mateo's 2 day old birthday today. We were released to go home today which was wonderful because we were definitely missing home. The nurses dubbed our room as their favorite because we always had family visiting, music playing and it was generally a good atmosphere, but we are glad to be home. You can see Dulce checking out Mateo. The dogs have been good, but they are very curious, especially when Mateo starts to cry. You can see Mateo's hair as he sits with Grandma and Dulce. The last picture of Mateo's little feet was taken by Grandpa Galaz and you can see Marie trying to keep his attention in the background. We are doing well. We have learned that you really need to sleep when Mateo sleeps. Our first day we stayed up all throughout the day visiting with friends and family and just keeping ourselves busy, but realized that we suffered in the end. So now we are trying to take naps when ever Mateo sleeps, which means we are sleeping about 2 to 3 hours at a time 24 hours a day. Welcome to parenthood! We love it and we love little Mateo and are thankful that we have family and friends for help and support.
